This design stems from the days that watches didn't have lume and as a help for the visually impaired. It's one of the most complex complications in the watch world. The base of the watch is the ETA 2892-A2, on which the special Dubois Dépraz minute repeater has been fitted.
The repeater is activated by pressing the button at 6 o'clock. First you will hear a 'ding' for the hour and then a 'te-ding' for every 5 minutes. For example 9:36 is translated to 9 times 'ding' and then 7 times 'te-ding'.
